STUDIO SESSIONS

We require a In studio fee of £2.50 per person requiring a seat (whether painting or not) to book your table, this includes all your paints, glaze and kilning, there are no extra fees for this.   Please let us know if you have a pram.  This is non refundable and covers a seat for everyone in our studio, table service,  instructions, staff expertise.  Please note this is NOT a deposit and will not be deducted from your bill.

Our studio is only small and to keep everyone safe, we strongly suggest pottery is booked online prior to your session.  You can do this at your leisure by clicking on the 'order your items here' button and have a browse through our shop.  Your pottery will be reserved and placed at your table ready for your session with all the equipment needed, giving you the maximum time to paint your piece.  If you would like to change your purchases, please let us know and we will happily sort this for you.  All of our stock is now online, so even if an item appears on the shelf in store, we will need to check our system availability to ensure the item hasn't been allocated.  You are still able to make amendments or add to your order at your session.

Each session is 2 hours long, please arrive promptly for your booking.  Once you have completed your piece we will glaze and fire it ready for final collection.  Your pottery will be ready for collection normally within 14 working days unless otherwise stated.  We will send you an email to confirm your item is ready.

Even though the pottery is dishwasher proof we don't recommend it if you want to keep the pottery's original look.

It is not recommended for use in microwaves.

Due to a lack of storage, we don't hold on to pottery past 12 weeks , so don't forget to pick it up.

PLEASE CHECK YOUR 'JUNK/SPAM' EMAIL BOX FOR CONFIRMATION EMAILS.

We will require a phone number if we need to contact you regarding your booking and email address to confirm your booking and inform you about collection.   We will NOT use your information for any other purpose, unless we have your permission.

The Paint is non toxic and washable.  Items are food safe when glazed and fired.

TAKEAWAY PAINTING KITS

If you would like to paint at home, we offer our takeaway painting kits.   The kits come with all the equipment and paint needed - due to eco waste reduction, if you require disposable aprons, please request this when ordering.

A kit contains enough paint and equipment for 4 people.  You can purchase both kits and pottery items online or via the shop.   We require a £20 cash refundable deposit on collection of your painting kit, this will be returned to you once you return the painting kit, providing it has been returned in full and in good condition.  We reserve the right to keep your deposit should the kit not be returned in full within 3 months or if it is returned in an unusable state.

CHILDREN

Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Children aged 12yrs to 16yrs will require a signed disclaimer by a parent/guardian. Mrs Potts’ Place staff will warn participants of identifiable risks associated with the event, providing appropriate instruction or taking specific actions to reduce risks such as appropriate care and maintenance of safety equipment. If an injury or damage is the result of a well-known and understood inherent risk the organisers may not be liable for the injury. If any damage is caused to Mrs Potts’ Place (including the pottery) by the participant, the adult will be liable and will be asked to pay for the damage. The law assumes that participants should take reasonable care of their own safety, so where the participant fails to take reasonable care for their own protection, their lack of self-care will be taken into account.

Mrs Potts’ Place reserves the right to ask a participant to be collected early and may potentially be asked not to continue with the session, if there is inability to follow instructions or their actions stop others from taking part in the activity. Mrs Potts’ Place staff are not responsible for your child/children.

Should Mrs Potts’ Place need to close and evacuate the building for any reason, Mrs Potts’ Place staff are NOT responsible for the return of the child to their parent/guardian and have the right to leave the child unattended when outside the shop.
