STUDIO SESSIONS (pottery, clay foam and decopatch):
We require a 'Table Service Fee’ to book your table. This is none refundable and covers a seat for everyone, PPE, table service, instructions, staff expertise and the ability to sit in the studio. This has replaced the £4 studio fee per painter we use to charge. Failure to pay for the 'Table Service Fee’ for everyone may result in your booking being invalid. We no longer charge a deposit - your Table Service Fee is your deposit now.
Table Service Fee Charges:
Up to 2 people - £5
3-4 people - £10
5-6 people - £15
6-8 people - £20
Under the current Covid 19 situation, we now require you to pre order and purchase your pottery up to 24 hours in advance of your session. This can be done online. Your pottery will be reserved and placed at your table on your arrival, with all the equipment needed. If you would like to change your purchases, any changes can be made up to 24 hours before you arrival, subject to availability. We will not be able to make changes on the day. Pottery prices range from £5 to £50.
Our slots are 2 hours long. We recommend you allow at least 90 minutes to complete your project. Under the current Covid 19 situation, we will give a whole studio introduction on how to paint the pottery instead of individual ones. We ask you to please turn up on time at the given session time you booked. Please do not turn up more that 5 minutes early. If you arrive late, we may not be able to accommodate you.
If pottery painting, we glaze and fire the piece, ready for you to pick up a week later. We also offer a quicker service if needed. We do not phone you. You will only receive a phone call if there is a delay, problem or question we need to ask. We also offer a quicker service if needed. We advise collection in 7 days , unless otherwise stated. We hold on to pottery for a maximum of 12 weeks and then it will be disposed of.
Mrs Potts' Place has the right to charge for breakages.
Clay Foam and decopatch pieces can be taken away on the day.
The Paint is non toxic and washable. Items are food safe when glazed and fired. Foam Clay and decopatch items are not food safe and not suitable for washing. They are for decoration purposes only. We recommend a dry or damp cloth.
Take Away Kits
If you would like to paint at home, we offer take way kits. The kits come with all the equipment needed - due to eco waste reduction, if you require disposable aprons, please request this when ordering.
A kit contains enough for 4 people. 10 paints, brushes, sponges, a colour sample tile, kitchen towel, water pots, pallets and instructions. You can purchase both kits and pottery items online or via the shop.
Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Children aged 12yrs to 16yrs should have a signed disclaimer. Mrs Potts’ Place staff will warn participants of identifiable risks associated with the event, providing appropriate instruction or taking specific actions to reduce risks such as appropriate care and maintenance of safety equipment. If an injury or damage is the result of a well-known and understood inherent risk the organisers may not be liable for the injury. If any damage is caused to Mrs Potts’ Place (including the pottery) by the participant, the adult will be liable and will be asked to pay for the damage. The law assumes that participants should take reasonable care of their own safety, so where the participant fails to take reasonable care for their own protection, their lack of self-care will be taken into account.
Mrs Potts’ Place reserves the right to ask a participant to be collected early and may potentially be asked not to continue with the session, if there is inability to follow instructions or their actions stop others from taking part in the activity. Mrs Potts’ Place staff are not responsible for your child/children.
Should Mrs Potts’ Place need to close and evacuate the building for any reason, Mrs Potts’ Place staff are not responsible for the return of the child to their parent/guardian and have the right to leave the child unattended when outside the shop.
Our priority is to keep our customers and employees as safe as possible so we have taken preventative measures throughout the shop.
– Hand sanitiser dispensers throughout the shop and on arrival.
– Cleaning and disinfecting entrance touchpoints, toilets and equipment several times each day.
– Ensuring staff wash hands often and wear gloves and/or masks as required
Screens have been put up between tables, where possible, in the shop to help with social distancing. Tables have been distanced.
We’re limiting the amount of people in store at any one time so and you may be asked to queue outside on arrival.
Please be considerate to other customers and employees keeping social distance for everyone’s safety.
Due to government regulations you are required to wear face mask/covering. Children under 11 and those with certain disabilities are exempt.
We kindly ask you not to enter the shop if you feel unwell as it might bring risks to our customers and staff.
At Mrs Potts’ Place we are complying with the government’s guidance on managing the risk of COVID-19.

Cancellation of a Studio Session:
Cancellations over 1 week before a session will receive a full refund minus a 10% cancellation fee to cover credit cards fees and administration costs or an alternative date can be given.
For cancellations 7 days before the session - The Table Service Fee will not be refunded. A refund will be given on any pottery orders minus a 10% fee to cover credit card fees and administration costs. Or we offer a takeaway kit to paint your items at home (Subject to availability). The kit is given to you for 7 days and a refundable £20 cash deposit is required, on receipt. This will be fully refunded if the items are returned in full, in the same condition they left the studio and returned on the given date. We advise you check all items in the kit before leaving the studio. All items will then be glazed and fired, ready for collection 7 days later.
Take Away Kits:
Cancellations will receive a full refund minus a 10% cancellation fee to cover credit cards fees and administration costs.
Workshops and Events:
Cancellations over 4 weeks before the workshop/event will receive a full refund minus a 10% cancellation fee to over credit card and administration fees. For cancellations less than 4 weeks before the event, no refund will be issued.
Workshops require a minimum of 6 attendees for it to run. We will notify you at least 24 hours before, if we are unable to proceed.
Children under the age of 16yrs must be accompanied by a FULL PAYING adult. Please see workshop descriptions for ages limit.
Zoom Sessions - No refunds will be given or exchange of dates.

Every care is taken with your items when in the shop. Once an item has left the shop, we are unable to refund the item for any cracks or breakages, unless the item is faulty. This includes items for take away kits. We do advise checking your items before leaving the shop.
We do not recommend putting items in the microwave or dishwasher, this will invalidate your claim. A proof of purchase is required for a refund.

How long we hold your data for:
We do not hold any information on customer payment details after the date that the customer visits the shop or concludes their transaction with us. After your transaction with us is complete, we shred any information including credit card information.
We hold information on customer names and email addresses indefinitely but only for the express purposes that it has been agreed. For example, if you have asked to go on our database for receiving information about workshops or events or for other services we have asked if you would like details about, the information will be held until you ask us to remove it. If we have this information for any other reason, it will be destroyed directly after the specific purpose for which it was collected.
We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place effective managerial, physical and electronic procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

Children (defined by us as under 18):
We will only keep any information that we hold on any person under the age of 18, until the reason for holding this data has passed. For example, if we have information on a child such as their age for a birthday party, we will not hold onto it after the party has taken place.
Our only exception to this is where we hold information such as our under 18 disclaimer or for our clubs, such as art club. We will continue to hold this information unless you ask us for it to be destroyed. Any data held on children is kept securely.
We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to any third party at any time.
You may request details of personal information which we hold about you under new data protection laws coming into effect in May 2018. We will not charge you for the administration of this request.
