Learn the basics of glass fusing with our experienced tutor, Rachel
* All workshops are suitable for all levels from complete beginners to those that have used this medium before.
*Firing; fusing & slumping will take place during the following 2 weeks after the course. Glass can be collected after that. If you can’t collect, it can be posted for additional cost.
*All materials are provided
*Due to working with glass, workshops are suitable for those aged 13 years and over, unless otherwise stated. Children under 16yrs must be accompanied by a full paying adult.
*Workshops will start promptly so please 5-10 minutes before.
*Please wear closed toed shoes
*There is an additional £5 cost for 'slumping' if not part of that particular workshop.
* Some frames can be purchased from the shop
* Tea and coffee is available.
Cancellations: Cancellations over 4 weeks before the event will receive a 100% refund. For cancellations less than 4 weeks , no refund will be issued.
COURSE DETAILS
Adult and Child Courses
Following an introduction on safety, glass & design, you will move on to creating your piece(s) ready for a kiln firing. All tools and materials will be supplied including coloured glass, glass powders and frits & stringers. Suitable for 8 yrs+. All children must be accompanied by a full paying adult.
What will you make?

Glass Fusing Day
Following an introduction on safety, glass & design, you will move on to creating your piece(s) ready for a kiln firing. All tools and materials will be supplied including coloured glass, glass powders and frits & stringers.
What will you make?
1. A small window hanger to practise cutting glass.
2. You will be given a piece of glass approximately 20cm by 20cm. This can be cut into items of your choice (for example 4 coasters, 2 smaller waves, tokens etc) or left as one piece.
Please bring lunch or there are places to buy food locally. We break for 30 minutes.
Glass Fusing 4-5 hour workshop
Following an introduction on safety, glass & design, you will move on to creating your piece(s) ready for a kiln firing. All tools and materials will be supplied including coloured glass, glass powders and frits & stringers.
What will you make?
1. A small window hanger to practise cutting glass.

You are welcome to bring food. We will be stopping for a break.
Evening or 3 hour workshops
