How Studio Sessions Work

STEP 1. Choose a pottery item to paint either at home or in the studio - we have a wide range of pottery, from mugs and plates to money boxes and fun figurines. We also offer Decopatch and Foam Clay in the studio.

STEP 2.  Use various sources of inspiration to plan your design and then paint your item with washable, non-toxic ceramic paints.  We are always happy to help those who need a little extra creative direction!  We recommend leaving at least an hour and half for your visit (this may depend on the age of the person painting).

STEP 3. We glaze and fire the piece, ready for you to pick up a week later. We also offer a quicker service if needed.  Please ask for details. (Alternatively, we can post your item if collection is not possible). Decopatch and Foam Clay items can be taken home on the day.

We require a 'Table Service Fee’ to book a table in the studio. This is none refundable and covers a seat for everyone in the group (whether paint or not), paints,  PPE, table service,  staff expertise and the ability to sit in the studio. This has replaced the £4 studio fee per painter we use to charge.   Failure to pay for the 'Table Service Fee’  for EVERYONE, including non painters,  may result in your booking being invalid. Everyone coming into the studio must be seated.  We no longer charge a deposit - your Table Service Fee is your deposit now.

Table Service Fee Charges:

Up to 2 people - £5

3-4 people - £10

5-6 people - £15

6-8 people - £20

Under the current Covid 19 situation, we also now require you to pre order and purchase your pottery in advance of your session. This can be done online.. We will send you an email reminder but you can order at your leisure.  Your pottery will be reserved and placed at your table on your arrival, with all the equipment needed.   If you would like to change your purchases, any changes can be made up to 24 hours before you arrival, subject to availability.  We will not be able to make changes on the day. Pottery prices range from £5 to £50.

There is £5 fee for a painting kit (for 4 people) if painting pottery at home.

Our slots are 2 hours long.  We recommend you allow at least 90 minutes to complete your project. Under the current Covid 19 situation, we will give a whole studio introduction on how to paint the pottery instead of individual ones.  We ask  you to please turn up on time at the given session time you booked. Please do not turn up more that 5 minutes early.     If you arrive late, we may not be able to accommodate you.

You can book online or via telephone 01276 942016.

Even though the pottery is dishwasher proof we don't recommend it if you want to keep the pottery's orginial look.

It is not recommended for use in microwaves. Decoptached and foam clay items are purely decorative.

Due to a lack of storage, we don't hold on to pottery past 12 weeks ,  so don't forget to pick it up.
